We are currently working on fine tuning Operation CPA. We value your comments on the following new Operation Overload targeting the Canadian Police Association. ../operation_cpa.asp

We strongly feel that the CPA has sold us out as they appear to be playing politics. You be the judge. ../operation_cpa.asp

Please post comments here or email them to info@lufa.ca

what happened to "operation CPA" ? Is it still a go in one form or other or is it too late ( I sincerely hope not , even with the meeting being over and the "heroes" showing their YELLOW BELLIES and not kicking bill 68 in the head like they should have!!!)
SICKTOYS Posted - 07/23/2003 : 12:12:08
a great chance for them (cpa) to continue spewing their nonsense.
call the media,
get some signs,
and let canadians know our rights are being trampled.

This is part of an email I just recieved.

"The Canadian Police Association (CPA) appears to be almalgamating with the
> National Association of Professional Police to form the Canadian
> Professional Police Association (CPPA). Their Annual General Meeting is
> being held in Edmonton August 27 to 30/03.

Please keep this topic HOT.

This would be an excellent time to meet with the very people who want so
badly to enforce the unjust Firearms Act."

Brainiac:

I have been posting "Enough Talk It's Time To Walk" for month's now regarding "Operation CPA."

If the police services in this country want to betray the people they say they serve and protect then so be it. Just launch the dam program! I have run out of patience and the country has run out of time.

Welcome back,Fearless. I agree, lets make some noise. The CPA is lobbying for more money. Seems they can't do their job on their "shoestring budgets". I think the campaign should also focus on lobbying against more money for the cops. We are already spending $2 billion on the "wonderful fantastic registry" , so their jobs can be so much easier.
They need to know there are consequences for their support of this waste.
The Lieberals mentioned "operation CPA" in the debates the other day.
Sounds to me like they are worried about losing CPA support if the public turns against the police. So let's make it happen.
Maybe we should have a section of the web-site where we post only news items that show the police in a negative light. There have been enough of these lately in Manitoba.

Okay the money has been approved for continuation of this disgrace in Miramachi and again endorsed by those Liberal butt kissing members of the CPA.

So is "Operation CPA" a go or not??? What are we waiting for now???

<<<<------- XENA so angry (thumping on table) she forgets how to spell Canadian in last post.

we have to keep us in the news. lets get on with something. The Gov is hoping it'll all blow over like everything else. Canadains like to forget the bad and think everthing is all rainbow in Kanuckistan.
There really harping on the blaming the cost all on us angle.

So enough talk now but how about just starting the operation?

DarylS, I agree with you. The hell with the rank and file if they don't speak up. This law will do nothing and they know it.
DarylS Posted - 01/16/2003 : 10:06:20
CPA still run from the top, and I am willing to bet responded this week with out one request for the opinion of the rank and file. The big salary cops suck up to the masters - whats so new about that? If the regular cop doesn't step up and give or take away support of the registry system then they deserve our contempt as well, for sure they are going to be the police service that interacts with all us unregistered gun criminals. We need to see something public from the working cops soon or they will be recognized by their silence.
Brainiac Posted - 01/15/2003 : 21:25:07
We need to make it clear to the front line officers that our removal of any and all support for them is caused solely by their organization.
It's not the fault of the cop on the street, but it's not our fault either.
Ronny Posted - 01/15/2003 : 09:15:12
As far as I am concerned, the RCMP are the enemy. I will no longer support them and I will go out of my way to show it.
Fearless Posted - 01/15/2003 : 07:22:00
FF Canuck:

Recent poll indicates an average of 69% of gun owners are removing support for the RCMP.

It's very sad that it has come to this but it remains guilt by association. They must stand up to their political masters, regain respect for themselves and the badge they wear and then maybe the support which has evaporated will be restored. Respect breeds respect.
