Farmer;

The program was doomed to failure since it's inception. Those of us who have been working from the inside out of the issue since the day's of Kim Campbell and the creation of this Liberal "Feel Good" policy are sure that it's now only a matter of time. But time is counted in months not days at this level of bureaucracy.

The process has two possible ending scenario's;

1.) Audit, Common's Investigation, Auditor General Initiate's another Audit, Consultation on all reports with Parliament, Liberals replace C-68 with a watered down version supposedly to improve the control of the real "EVIL" weapons's and drop long gun registration as recommended by Police Chief's Association.

NOW: Watch for the bait and switch designed to fool the firearms community. It will also be designed to divide the recreational firearms community. With division they can come back with a new version of C-68 that could get co-operation of the RFC while leaving the door open for future ammendments.

2.) Extension, Second Amensty (A General Amnesty), CFC on Auto Pilot, Third Amnesty(Another General Amnesty) in December 2003, Martin win's leadership race, Federal Election called in March/April 2004, Amnesty dies, Liberal's win Federal Election but seats are in the minority, CFC closes, registration program shelved for another day.

Be patient, be vigilant, and be proactive.

The Big Clock is ticking down on this mess, and I doubt anyone will attempt to re-wind the spring! My bet is it's 'gone' by april 1.. April fools day, they certainly picked the proper day to try and transfer this mess to the Solicitor Gen...

Well the shifting sands in the hour glass have revealed that most of "fearless') predictions have come to pass.

The audit revealed prosecutable collusion and fraud in obtaining funding for this obscenely over budget farce. Prosecutions were sidestepped (narrowly) by holding a kangaroo investigative "committee" stacked with Lieberal cronies that essentially discredited the auditor enough to justify closure and negate charges being filed......for now

The privacy commissioner that was about to blow the whistle on the registries abysmal history of breeching individual's security and the fact that data kept in the FIP data base is illegal for them to use, was scandalized and replaced (with a hush money plum to keep his silence) before he could break the scandal on the registry systems.

The operation of the registry is dumped into the lap of the solicitor general from the justice minister (quite illegally) to avoid future criminal foul ups of the system implicating a cabinet minister. Easter looks like a deer caught in the headlights when he realizes how low compliance is and the perilous position this puts the head of the RCMP in as he MUST enforce compliance after deadlines. another phony illegal "amnesty" is offered against prosecution for those who can't register because they have no license. Meanwhile CUFO and ilk parade their law breaking and the feds won't prosecute further eroding any argument that the law is workable/working/will work.

As this ensues the Innu have the law suspended by injunction over it's unconstitutionality further weakening the facade the feds spun that the law was constitutionally sound.

More provinces have dropped out of enforcement of the registry and mow the resources needed for the feds to go it alone escalates exponentially. This will cause Easter to continuously lie to capital expropriation committees for further funding.

The press (even the liberal apologists) are having a hey day trashing the silly resolve of the liberals to cling to this rotting corpse of a system.

This rotting fish is DEAD baby! and the only reason it has any semblance of life is the money dumped into it is being spent to go through the motions of functionality.

Martin knows the expectations Canada has placed in his "new broom" will wear thin soon enough and he doesn't need this rotting fish adding to his already knee-deep garbage-filled baggage. He will offer us the “carrot” soon in "streamlining the system to trim costs" which means cutting back the registry to restricted only but adding much more stuff into that category as a trade off to placate Wendy.

DON"T BUY IT ELMER!! As long as FA section 117 118. 119 remain intact the feds can move anything they want into prohibited status without any argument from parliament. FA Section 117 GOES or NO GO.

A rifle from 1887? Anyway, according to their law, all firearms made before 1898 don't need to be registered
