Alta. should split from Canada and buy nuclear subs, says separatist group

EDMONTON (CP) -- Nuclear submarines armed with long-range missiles could help Alberta gain international clout if the province were to secede from Canada, says the leader of a fledgling separatist group.

"One of the things that was suggested would be a couple of nuclear submarines moving around the world," Bruce Hutton told a news conference Tuesday.

"That makes us a formidable power. With the amount of money we've sent to Ottawa in the last six years, we could have nuclear submarines." Hutton, a former Mountie who strongly opposed the national gun registry, said 5,000 signatures are still needed to give his Separation Party of Alberta official status in Alberta. Nonetheless, he is predicting they will win 11 seats in the next provincial election.

Premier Ralph Klein has said he believes Albertans want to remain within the country.
"I strongly feel that Albertans want to be part of Canada and they want to be recognized as part of Canada. I don't think that they want to separate, they simply want their voice to be heard."
Although there is little desire for separation, Klein has said, his party will hold a panel discussion about it at its annual policy
convention this weekend in Red Deer, Alta.

Hey Rebel, don't forget about us Manitobans, we are the only prairie province with an ocean port. The Port of Churchill is frozen in the winter, but that's okay, we'll just invade Ottawa in the summer.

I have been quiet for quite some time now because I have given up with any form of reason with these dictators and cowards in Ottawa. Non-compliance and civil disobedience may still be the final answer for most parts of Canada but in Alberta it's;

Good luck my friends. Fight the good fight the best way you can!

Alberta has been raped since joining Canada and in the last 20 years we have been screwed over the following:

Kyoto
Interference in Agriculture Policy (Canada Wheat Board)
Personal Property Rights(Gun Registry, etc)
National Energy Program
Family/Children/Men's Rights
Federal Health Care Payments
Jane Stewart’s HRDC Boondoggle
Helicopters cancelled, then reordered
Submarine Debacle
Broken Election Promises (GST)
Lack of Parliamentary Reform
Canada Pension Plan is broke
Out of control National Debt
Ottawa’s lack of respect for Alberta

Saskatchewa, Alberta and even BC has had enough of the bullshit. The only thing missing in the above list is Fishing. Our BC neighbors have been screwed over by Ottawa year after year and I'm sure they feel the same way as us.

JUST AN EXAMPLE OF OUR SERVICE, A FEW YEARS AGO A FRIEND WAS HIT HEAD ON IN A CAR ACCIDENT.HE WENT TO THE HOSPITAL BY AMBULANCE, THEN WAITED 1 AND 1/2 HOURS WITHOUT SEEING A DOCTOR OR EVEN A NURSE OTHER THAN THE LADY WHO CHECKED HIM IN. AT WHICH TIME HIS FRUSTRATED FATHER TIRED OF HEARING HIS SON'S SCREAMS OF PAIN LOADED HIM IN HIS OWN CAR AND DROVE HIM OVER AN HOUR TO THE NEXT HOSPITAL HOPING TO GET BETTER SERVICE.
HIS LEFT LEG WAS BROKEN 9 TIMES WHERE THE FLOOR OF HIS PICK-UP CAME UP AND CRUSHED IT UNDERNEARTH THE DASH. THEY REMOVED HIM WITH JAWS OF LIFE.
HE ARRIVED AT THE SECOND HOSPITAL, THIS IS THE GOOD PART;
OVER 4 HOURS HAS PASSED, HE'S AT THE SECOND HOSPITAL BEFORE HE'S GIVEN ANYTHING FOR PAIN
EVERYONE ELSE INVOLVED WALKED AWAY FROM THE COLLISION.
HOW'S YOUR HEALTH CARE?

This Total Communist health care system is dragging us down, I sat for 3 hours in a Waiting room,luckily I had a Military compression bandage I put on myself to stop from bleeding to death, At least the Hospital had cable in the waiting room and I could watch Wheel of Fortune. If it meant another 50 bucks a month I'd go for this two tier system, I'd get stitches sooner and a lollypop.

Here in Saskatoon the University Hospital has told Ambulance EMT's that they will have to stay with their patients when they bring them in because the wait could and probably will be up to 6 HOURS. They can also expect to help out in the ER when they come in.
