OLA News - Friday, January 19, 2007 The enclosed letter is from Michael Schmidt (fresh milk advocate) to the MNR enforcement branch, and illustrates the continued harassment, intimidation and abuse of authority by government agents. In addition, on January 9, 2007 Schmidt's blue Bus was stopped by one police cruiser, within minutes four additional unmarked police vehicles were on the scene. A total road side check of the bus was undertaken (by the police-not MTO) and Schmidt's bus was found to have 3 deficiencies including improper reflectors- fines $240. each, for a total of $720.00.
