Refusing to allow law abiding and responsible citizens to exercise their universal and sovereign right to security of the person, by not permitting them to acquire the most effective means with which to obtain that security, renders the right itself meaningless. Keeping such citizens disarmed only means that criminals, who by definition don't obey the law, are the ones who are. Reducing citizens to the status of victims is not something that anyone should want in their community. |
