Skepticism needed

------------------------------------------------------------------------

The article Most Shootings, Stabbings Accidental (Jan. 16) demonstrates the limits of self-reported information. The authors of this study, or the reporter, should have been more skeptical of the information  provided by these patients.

These injuries have been reported as accidental, but that does not necessarily mean that they were in fact accidental. These knifings and shootings might have involved criminal activities or possibly suicide attempts.

To report them as being anything other than accidental might have involved the patient in an unwanted investigation, either by the police if criminal or by the insurance company in the case of attempted suicide.

GARY MAUSER professor, Institute for Canadian Urban Research Studies, Simon Fraser University Burnaby, B.C.

Well said 375. I say pardon anybody convicted under this Naziish law. I would also love to see every useless "employee" from the CFC dismissed and the entire operation buried in the ashes of history.

Skepticism needed !!
Now I know I'm off track here on a different vein of thought, but I'm more than skeptical about LIEberal intentions for gun control!
In fact skeptical doesn't begin to describe my hatred and absolute revulsion for LIEberalism, their C-68 and the current gun 'laws'.
Skepticism ! Get out of here ! I FIRMLY BELIEVE C-68 should not only be trashed, but those found in contravention of the corrupt and insane 'law' should be given an absolute pardon.
Nothing less will do.
With society back on an even kilter, perhaps even media reporting would ring true !

Accidently stabed my self at 1:30 am in front of a bar. Or accidently shot my self threw the window of my car. We need to check before the cause is accidental.
