Report PostFinland has gun laws similar to Canada. Yes, licencing, registration & safe storage. But Finland encourages civilian rifle marksmanship & ownership. Some of the best snipers in the world are out of Finland. Finnish snipers scared the living hell out of... and killed Russian Communist troops on a massive scale in WWII. Finns like their rifles and are very good with them, just like the Swiss. As much as Finland's government is a strong socialist left country, disarming it's civilian riflemen is not big on their lists of things to do. Unlike Canada (which has some of the best rifleman & snipers in the world), Finish government knows full well that their best defence against invasion is a rifle-armed populace.
