Comments: Gun freak: May was elected by the pot smoking/coke snorting h shooting clowns that live on the north end of the Saanich peninsula and the Gulf Islands. Throw in the escapees from the real world like Robert Bateman and the Vancouver elite who sojourne there it's a wonder Lunn was ever elected.
The main reason Lunn was elected in 2008 was that the NDP candidate got dumped because of his past life coming out on face book, so he had no real competition. His earlier wins were due to the relative weakness, at the time, of the Gulf Islanders as compared to the still relatively correct thinking Saanich population who tend to be retired civil servants or remittancemen.
May saw the weakness of Lunn and very smartly acted upon it.
The total wackyness of the Left Coast makes our work that miuch harder.
