Operation Tell The World
As of January 1, 2003, approximately 5-7 million Canadians will become
instant criminals thanks to our Federal Government passing a new firearms law
that came into effect in 1998 that was based on misrepresentation of Royal
Canadian Mounted Police statistics. RCMP Commissioner Murray protested that
his department's statistics were being distorted, forged and misrepresented.
Unfortunately, our own government ignored his protest and they continued to
misuse these statistics to persuade Members of Parliament to vote in favour of
the new Firearms Act. Canadians must understand that this legislation allows
any peace officers to enter any Canadian home without a warrant. Former
Justice Minister Allan Rock, is now under investigation for forgery of the
statistics used in support of this legislation. The allegations are that
former Justice Minister Allan Rock misled the House of Commons.
Current statistics indicate 80% non-compliance with licensing and
registration. The government continues to lie to the Canadian Public by
spin-doctoring the facts. A recent poll showed that 93% of gun owners would
not fully comply with the Firearms Act. In spite of this startling statistic,
the federal Liberal government refuses to make the necessary adjustments and
cancel registration. They have indicated they will not budge on the December
31, 2002 deadline.
It is unfortunate for those who wish to comply with the law are unable to get
registration forms due to the bureaucratic bungling and technical
incompetence. This whole system is pathetic and a technological failure. Phone
lines are jammed: 1 800 731-4000 (toll free in North America) and there is no
real security with internet registration. Website URL to register online is
also next to impossible to access:

The Postal Services is clogged with 6 months for them to sort out the mess.
LUFA encourages everyone to phone 1 800-731-4000 and confirm that the phone
lines are inoperative. We also request that everyone check the link and
confirm the technological failure:

We encourage everyone to click on the above link to see errors or how long it
takes for the registration page to load.
Thanks to this bureaucratic in competency we will have 80 year old
grandmothers in this country who are now criminals. It further shows how
these Liberals are out of touch in what is required to reduce crime, violence
and suicides in this country.
The most appalling aspect of this issue is that firearms registration was
promised to cost only $2 million dollars to the Canadian public when it was
recently announced by the Canadian Auditor General that it will now cost over
$1 billion dollars. That is a 50,000% plus cost overrun. We estimate an
additional minimum of $500 million if Canadians agree to comply but they
won’t. This money would have been better spent on cancer research or MRI
machines.
LUFA invites the international community to take notice of this oppression by
the Canadian Government of the Canadian people. If you are a journalist, a gun
owner, a human rights activist or someone looking for a home in a democratic
country think again. Canada doesn’t fit the bill. LUFA encourages all
interested parties to click on this URL:

government is with giving Canadians access to comply.
